There are thousands of UK distilleries, both gin and whisky, and hundreds of vineyards and breweries across the UK. We benefit from their vast selection of spirits, local craft beers and innovative spirits. But have you ever thought to visit them?
Visit England published a report last year revealing that 75% of English adults are interested in going to a distillery or brewery and 74% are interested in visiting a vineyard while on a domestic holiday. Interest in visiting a distillery or brewery ranks above street food tours (70%), spa experiences (70%) and cookery classes (59%). This year there is going to be a huge increase in ‘Staycations’ due to restricted travel and the coronavirus; perhaps a distillery, vineyard or brewery tour is the perfect activity to fill our staycations this year.
