Cornish Yarg is a semi-hard cow’s milk English cheese with a difference – it contains nettles.
The English cheese is carefully wrapped in nettle leaves. This forms an edible, bloomy rind as the cheese matures.
Near the rind, the texture of Cornish Yarg is creamy but towards the centre, it becomes crumbly, like a Caerphilly cheese. As you can imagine, it tastes deliciously creamy and zesty.
